the-ankle-rocker asked: If you had the chance to write for any comic character or series... what would it be? Bonus Question: What's the reasoning behind your choice?
Nightcrawler! Though, that’s already being tackled next month by people far more talented than me, so… hah! I never can get enough Kurt, though, so I’d be happy if he had as many self-titled series as possible. I think he’s such a wonderfully fascinating character who fills so many roles on the team.
Should you happen to read this, the character I would choose is an obscure Marvel hero Sleepwalker. Who doesn’t want to dream of being a super hero every night as our heads hit pillow? Rick Sheridan could do just that in a way thanks to the alien life form of the Dreamscape that inhabited his mind which would manifest in the physical world as he slept.
Playing on the contrast between the dual mind within one body and the character trying to find a balance could make for an interesting read I believe as long as the reader was treated to two characters who’s lives they equally wanted to witness.
Thanks for taking the time to answer.
Woah, that’s awesome! I can’t believe I’ve never heard of this character, but the way you describe him definitely makes me want to read more about his adventures. Very cool!
Was more a spotlight for Otto than Sleepwalker but for an introduction he most recently showed up in an arc of Avenging Spider-Man (I thiiink #19-20) with some great Checchetto art that was worth a read.
For reals though, the only thing I’d tell my younger self is not to miss Demon Days Live. I see no other viable use for time travel.
If you only had 4 words to tell your younger self something, what would they be?
